Hungry for fun

Are you ready for it, dear friends?

Another Walker girls production, that is.

Well, prepare yourselves for a visual feast.

Kelly and Bree have done it again - with the help of another sister Abby and their talented Mum Carole.

The occasion was joint first birthdays for Max (my godson and Kelly's son) and Grace (Bree's daughter).

And the theme was The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

Behold the magnificent . . .

The lanterns were awesome!

And a donut birthday cake. Brilliant.

Chocolate cake pops

Caterpillar slice
NB. Special mention goes to 'Pop' Walker who carried boxes of these cereal treats home from America, especially for this slice. Dedication.

Fruit skewers - best way to get kids to eat fruit!

Sandwiches
Bree, those chicken sangers were ah-mazing!

Gorgeous biscuits complete with holes

Kelly and Max (left) with Bree and Grace in their gorgeous party tees

And butterfly cakes
Yep, that's me with the sweet treats. Typical.

Congrats on a brilliant day, girls!

Looking forward to Zara's Icecream Party next year xo

It's hot in here!

The Walker sisters are at it again!

Remember this train party for Boston's first birthday? Well, his talented Mum has outdone herself this year with a fireman themed shindig on their farm.

Abby (Boston's Mum) and Kelly (Zara's Mum - remember the rainbow party from last week) are SA's answer to Amy Atlas . . . but these girls just do it for fun.

Their other sister Bree (who just so happens to be one of my nearest and dearests) has just had a baby herself so we can expect big things from this talented trio over the next few years.

Just what will they think of next!?

Rainbow bright

Remember this little cutie?

No, not the bloke. Don't give him a big head.

I'm talking about Zara!

Who can believe the little munchkin is now three years old? And to think her Mum and Dad's parties are getting bigger and better than ever!

First there was One Little Birdie . . .

Then there was Humpty Dumpty . . .

And now there is Rainbow!

Amy Atlas, look out!

Don't you love the Martha Stewart crepe paper clouds?! And the rainbow umbrellas Zara's Dad brought back from a work trip to China.

Good one Rodda.

Isn't it just divine!? Mindblowingly colourful and coordinated. The food was delish and so 'on brand'. It was so thoughtful and articulate and beautiful. Almost too good to eat.

Almost.

The MasterChef challenge was my fave - the kids all got dressed up in their aprons and chef hats and made mini pizzas for supper.

Great way to keep them busy . . . and keep the adults fed later in the day!

(Don't get me started on the G&Ts!)

And then there was the cake.

Have you ever seen such a perfect cake?!

This has taken the rainbow concept to a whole new level. That external layer was perfect!

Look at those defined layers!

Yep, the birthday girl was happy.

And so were her cousins.

Isn't that right, Boston?

And Emilia agrees.

So does little brother Max (and Pop) who got into the rainbow spirit.

Thanks for the face painting, Aunty Abby!

Well done Kelly and Mark, awesome effort especially since you've welcomed a newborn to the family in the last couple of months. I don't know how you do it!

Looking forward to Max's first birthday later this year . . .
